Jinli is touristy but in the best way. My kids loved the free puppet shows, the sugar painting where we got a dragon, and running around the old stone paths. The highlight was watching my picky eater see a local kid devour stinky tofu with such joy that he asked to try it. He made a face and spat it out, but he tried it. The ice cream I bought him afterward was the best compromise ever.
