# Hong Kong with Kids: Perfect 3-Day Itinerary (2026)

Hong Kong is surprisingly family-friendly. Clean, efficient public transport, English signs everywhere, world-class attractions, and incredible food that kids actually enjoy.

Day 1: Hong Kong Island

Morning - Peak Tram + Victoria Peak

Start early (7:30 AM) to beat the queues. The Peak Tram is a funicular that climbs 396m to Victoria Peak.

Book tickets in advance:

Tip: Sit on the RIGHT side of the tram for the best views of the skyline rising behind you.

Midday - Lunch at The Peak

The Peak has family-friendly restaurants. Cafe Deco has great views and a kids' menu. Or grab takeaway from the food court and eat at the outdoor viewing platforms.

Afternoon - Hong Kong Park

Take the tram back down and walk to Hong Kong Park (10 minutes). Highlights:

- Edward Youde Aviary - huge free-flight aviary

- Walk-through greenhouse with waterfalls

- Children's Playground with excellent equipment

- Tai Chi classes in the morning

Free entry to the park. The aviary is free too.

Evening - Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui

The Star Ferry is a must-do. Cost: about $0.50 USD per person (kids under 3 free). The 10-minute ride across Victoria Harbour offers stunning skyline views.

Dinner in Tsim Sha Tsui:

- Aqua Restaurant - stunning views (book ahead)

- Din Tai Fung at Harbour City - kids love the xiao long bao

- Chungking Mansions food court - budget-friendly

Day 2: Hong Kong Disneyland

Full Day at Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller than other Disney parks, which makes it perfect for families with young children. You can see most of the park in one day without rushing.

Book tickets in advance (20-30% cheaper):

- Stay for the nighttime fireworks show

Dinner at Disney

Eat at Explorer's Club restaurant inside the park - themed dining experience that kids love. Or dine at Disneyland Hotel for a character meal.

- Mirror maze

- Giant bubble machine

- Kids' Discovery Zone (ages 3-7)
